YUP Lab: Transforming Micromobility into Smart Cities
The second edition of YUP Lab has turned the University of Barcelona into the epicenter of innovation and creativity for the future of mobility. This meeting between business and university has established itself as a space where the brilliant minds of tomorrow are immersed in the task of shaping future mobility in smart cities.
Triumphant Return to the University of Barcelona
In this edition, 4th year Design and Mobility students actively participated in YUP Lab. Under the guidance of María del Camino Calleja García and Adrià Cabiscol from YUP, last December 1st, the participants immersed themselves in micromobility and received the exciting challenges that awaited them.
Challenges for the Future of Mobility
The first challenge, "Visionary Urban Design," challenges students to imagine the future of their cities. Through the creation of infographics, they explore how public transportation and micro-mobility can shape innovative urban environments.
The second challenge, "ReDesigning Mobility for Public and Private Entities," assigns them leadership roles and mobility councilors. Participants propose concrete measures to improve accessibility in key locations, from city halls to hospitals to shopping malls.

Evaluation and Expectations
Each group has been assigned to a specific sector, and the date of January 12 looms as a crucial milestone. This day marks the evaluation of the proposals submitted by the students, and anticipation is mounting.
Special Recognition
We would like to thank Lena Macau Sanz, whose contribution has been instrumental in making this event possible. On January 12, we look forward to witnessing the innovative proposals that will undoubtedly transform mobility in our cities.
The mobility revolution begins at YUP Lab, where the future is forged today!
